Delando is an Associate working in the Higher Education Practice for Parker Search.
Delando brings an array of perspectives to Parker Executive Search with international, educational, and college athletics experiences. In his current role, Delando is responsible for recruiting highly qualified individuals, aiding search processes with data management and logistics, and facilitating closure for national searches with institutions of higher education. In his role, he enjoys communicating with different leaders in the field and learning the intricacies of their experiences.
Before joining the firm, Delando worked in Student Services at Vanderbilt University’s Athletic Department. Additionally, he has higher education experience in campus climate and diversity initiatives working with the Heman Sweatt Center for Black Males and Inclusive Campus Support at the University of Texas at Austin. Delando graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Education from Vanderbilt University, Peabody College, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Education, Leadership, and Policy with a higher education concentration.
Delando is an advocate for education and likes to mentor college students and former athletes in understanding life and finding their passions. Outside of work, Delando enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, and listening to music. Delando is married to his wife, Alexia, and enjoys being a father to his daughter, Ayla.
