Scott Gaffney

Scott joined Parker Executive Search in 2023 as an Executive Recruiting Coordinator and plays an integral role in recruiting higher education leaders.

As an Executive Recruiting Coordinator, Scott specializes in developing and executing detailed search strategies for leadership positions in higher education. His role encompasses conducting in-depth research and sourcing potential candidates, managing search timelines, and facilitating communication between clients and candidates throughout the process.

Prior to joining the firm, Scott served as a Talent Manager at Robert Half International, where he managed the full-cycle recruitment process for finance and accounting positions. His role involved identifying and screening candidates, cultivating client relationships, staying current of hiring market trends, developing new business, and delivering both interim and long-term staffing solutions.

Scott’s career in higher education began with nearly a decade of experience in college athletics. Most recently, he served as the Director of Academics for the Georgia State University football program. Prior to his tenure at Georgia State, Scott worked with in similar roles in the athletic departments at Kennesaw State University and the University of Missouri. His extensive knowledge of higher education practices and commitment to delivering exceptional student-athlete experiences were a key aspect of his professional approach.

Scott completed his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University earning his degree in Communication Studies. He also holds a master’s degree in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri.

Originally from New Jersey, Scott moved to the Atlanta area in 2017 and married his wife, Christina, in 2023. On the weekends, you can find him watching his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, working on his golf game, making his homemade pizzas, and exploring in the north Georgia mountains.
