Forestar Group has named Matthew Stokes as Director, Land Acquisition. Stokes will be responsible for managing land acquisition for the Atlanta metropolitan area for Forestar's East Region and will be responsible for finding potential community development opportunities, negotiating and placing land under contract, obtaining all necessary entitlements and governmental approvals for development of single-family residential communities, and acquiring such land, all in a manner that meets or exceeds the East Region's needs with respect to generation of lot inventory and sales. Stokes previously served as Vice-President of Land Acquisition and Development for Sharp Residential.
