John C. Maxwell, a #1 New York Times best-selling author, coach and speaker who has sold more than 26 million books in 50 languages, today announced the appointment of Terence L. Chatmon as president of The John Maxwell Leadership Foundation and EQUIP Leadership. The appointment is effective August 1, 2017.

In this role, Chatmon will lead the strategies and operations of Maxwell's two nonprofit entities. Both nonprofit groups, through their distinct program offerings, support Maxwell's vision of adding value to people who multiply value to others, resulting in the strengthening of leaders, organizations, communities and nations around the world.

The John Maxwell Leadership Foundation's mission is to facilitate transformation in countries around the world through secular values and intentional living programs within each country's streams of influence, including government, education, business, churches, arts, media and family. EQUIP Leadership stewards John Maxwell's call to evangelism by providing strategic leadership training to Christian leaders and then mobilizing them to impact their communities in the U.S. and globally.

Chatmon joins the foundation and EQUIP from Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI), where he was president and CEO for six years. FCCI provides tools, training and life-on-life experience to a fellowship of executive leaders of small, medium and large companies in 139 countries, equipping these leaders to integrate faith through their respective businesses. Prior to FCCI, Chatmon held a number of senior executive leadership roles in businesses including The Coca-Cola Company, Johnson & Johnson and Citicorp.
